There are boating facilities and water activities at albert park lake, where you can also hire a paddle boat. there is also a large half pipe for skateboarders and a basketball court. you can also find excellent swimming facilities at the melbourne sports and aquatic centre, located at the north east end of the park.. Alan i'm not sure if you can paddle on albert park lake.. there are signs that say 'authorized boats only'.. and there are plenty of 'no go zones' that are not marked.. i gave up on our paddle for ms day because of all the hassles involved with paddling on the lake. dj.
